I don’t travel much for weddings any more. Not by choice – a lot of people come down here for their weddings so I don’t have to travel. So when Lissa and Kevin decided to have their wedding ceremony in Kevin’s brother’s backyard in Virginia, I was pumped! I spent the weekend up there on their beautiful property, getting to know Lissa and Kevin’s families. They are some of the kindest, warmest people I’ve ever met. Backyard weddings really seem to bring families together. Everyone pitches in to make it all come together. Congrats Lissa and Kevin! Can’t wait to travel back up there for a vow renewal.

Cheers to 10 years! Alyssa and OJ had a beautiful vow renewal with their children on the beach. I think it’s really special when couples include their kids in ceremonies. Whenever they watch this video, they’ll know they were a part of their parent’s commitment to each other and their family.

Kelly and Brian had a beautiful wedding day in Miramar Beach last month. They reserved 3 hours of coverage with me so we would have time to capture Kelly getting ready with her kids, their sunset ceremony, and their cake cutting at Royal Palm Grille. They were so relaxed and easy going. It was such a pleasure filming them and their families on their special day.

Move over unity sand, and make way for the unity shot! Delaney and Noah got married on the Grand Lawn at The Henderson and their post-vows unity shot was the perfect way to kick off their reception. New Ceremony Achievement Unlocked: Secret Handshake! It seriously might be the cutest way ever to end a ceremony. Jennifer and Jimmy are one of those couples that just make you smile. And I loved how bashful her son was when walking Jennifer down the aisle and presenting her to be married. I have preteen and teenage sons so stuff like that always puts me in the feels. Plus his reaction to their kiss was golden. Their blue wedding palette put together by Barefoot Weddings matched the July evening sky and gulf coast waters perfectly. Congrats Jennifer and Jimmy!

Jennifer and Jeff had the cutest vow renewal ceremony in Navarre Beach. Tropical Beach Weddings transformed the beach into the perfect spot to celebrate this adorable couples’ 25th anniversary. I was mildly obsessed with the cloud coverage over Jennifer as she walked towards the ceremony so I couldn’t help myself and had to zoom out to capture that gorgeous sky. Congrats Jennifer and Jeff!

One of the things I love about Emerald Grande is you have the choice of a doing a ceremony on one of their gorgeous decks or on their private beach. While the decks are a great way to get that beach vibe without getting sand, well, everywhere, their private beach is one of my favorite spots. I think it’s such a cool experience for your guests to get to ride a private boat shuttle to your ceremony location. It’s like a wedding and an excursion all in one! Lolita and Darian had their sunset ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, on the private beach. It was the perfect backdrop for them to share their I Do’s.
