Saying Rami and Andy are a chill couple is an understatement. They were the most relaxed, laid back, go with the flow couple that I’ve probably ever filmed. And their awesome vibes made their wedding ceremony such a pleasure to film. It was an overcast day in Miramar Beach, which made Rami’s dress and Andy’s jacket match the beach and sea perfectly. Here’s to beautiful weddings for perfect couples!
When I got the beach to film Deena and Jeffrey’s elopement ceremony, there were huge sea turtles on a sandbar near the shore. They were doing nature’s “thang”, and the lifeguards said they’d been been there all day. I’d never been that close to sea turtles that large in the wild before so it was definitely a cool experience.
And then it was time for the wedding! Deena and Jeffrey’s kids joined them for a little elopement ceremony on the beach in 30A. I always like the vibes at elopements; there’s no pressure, and it’s so calm and happy and chill.
I filmed another gorgeous Forever I Do Weddings ceremony! Mabel & Hector had a romantic sunset ceremony on the beach at The Henderson. I’m still working on learning Spanish but even without knowing the language, you can tell these two are crazy about each other. ¡Felicidades Mabel y Héctor!
When we arrived to set up to film Ali and Deven’s wedding day, we met them on the beach. They had already done a first look and had made their way down there to check out their ceremony setup.
A lot of couples don’t get a chance to really take in all of their ceremony decor because by the time they get there, the guests are sitting and the ceremony is starting. If you’re doing a first look, I highly suggest also setting aside time to do this. It was really sweet seeing Ali and Deven’s excited reactions to their decor, including their seriously epic sand castle.
These two were so fun and so funny. Well, I should say these 3 because their doggo Ellie was a feature of the wedding day. She walked Deven down the aisle, helped inspire the cake decoration, and had her own signature cocktail.
Elopements have a special place in my heart. They’re so quiet and intimate and easy going. And when you hire a videographer to capture your elopement, you can share your ceremony with everyone! Congrats Abbie and Matthew!
I know a lot of couples will stress about rainy weather on their beach wedding day, but Cheyenne and Stephen were quite the opposite. The radar was looking iffy, but they both said “Well, we got engaged in the rain so we can get married in the rain!” Their calmness was rewarded and the rain held off until later in their reception. Plus during their ceremony, the skies were full of beautiful, dramatic cloud coverage that kept it from being too hot on the beach.
Cheyenne and Stephen booked a 6 hour package with me which gave us plenty of time to capture lots of footage of them getting ready at the Navarre Wedding House, their ceremony just a short walk away at beach access 37A, and their reception back at the wedding house.
Their wedding day had a couple firsts for me: 1. Unity Branding – I’ve filmed many different unity ceremonies (sand, candles, knot tying, etc) but this was my first branding! 2. Flower Grannies – I think these were my first flower grannies…either way, what a cute way to include grandparents in the ceremony!
This was such a great wedding day for such a wonderful couple. Congrats Cheyenne and Stephen!!
I hope you’re ready for a good ol’ fashioned sweet, southern wedding day! Shyla and Derek’s wedding took me back to my Tennessee videography years. They were just the nicest family; everyone was so warm and welcoming. No pressure, no stress, all smiles all around. Shyla’s mom had booked my Wedding Plus Package for her daughter’s wedding day, and they chose to use that 2 hours of coverage to capture Shyla getting ready, her first look with Derek and their ceremony at Henderson Beach State Park.
Brinley and Cody’s wedding ceremony had everything: the sweetest couple in the world, super supportive friends & family, beautiful beaches with no crowds (thank you, Port St Joe!), gorgeous decor, & a dachshund in a tutu! I was pumped when Brinley reached out to me to film her Cape San Blas ceremony. I had never filmed a wedding there before, but I visited it for the first time last year. That area is such a hidden gem; I knew a beach ceremony there would be absolutely beautiful. Congrats Brinley & Cody!
The only thing better than one beautiful bride is two of them! Katherine and Catherine had a chic and glamorous wedding day at The Retreat in Santa Rosa Beach. Their ceremony in front of the pool at the beach club was so stunning. The whole day was absolute perfection.
Logan and Austin’s wedding day was EVERYTHING! Austin’s mom reached out to me about filming her son’s wedding day and I’m so glad she gifted this to them. We were able to capture so many wonderful moments from their ceremony and reception, and they’ll always have this keepsake from their wedding day. #momsknowbest So a Happy Belated Mother’s day to all the mamas out there who know a wedding video makes the perfect wedding gift that your family will cherish forever!
If you’re looking for a Destin wedding venue for your ceremony and reception, I highly recommend you check out the Emerald Grande. Their Captain’s Deck is the perfect location for elegant wedding ceremonies and I adore the HarborView Room for receptions. Their coordinators are always friendly and meticulous and you’ll be grateful you chose such good people to help you with your wedding day.
