I had another successful double wedding weekend! I started off with Paris and Tameka’s wedding ceremony and reception at the Embassy Suites in Miramar Beach. Here’s a little sneak peak of their big day.
Jessica and Tim’s wedding day was pretty exciting for me – it was my first time filming 2 ceremonies in 1 day, and I was ready for the challenge. Jessica and Tim’s ceremony was my first wedding for the day. It was an afternoon ceremony at Beasley Park in Fort Walton Beach. They had a larger beach ceremony with lots of friends and family in attendance. They were all smiles throughout the entire ceremony and it made for a beautiful video.
After their ceremony, I headed over to Miramar Beach to film Christine and Corey’s wedding. The timing ended up working out perfectly and I actually have another double wedding day coming up in a month so this is apparently officially a thing that I do now!
I just don’t even know where to start with this one. I loved everything about Christine and Corey’s wedding day. The only people, other than the bride and groom, at their ceremony were Pastor Dean, their photographer Jennifer, and me. (It was actually my first time signing as a witness on a marriage certificate and I was a little too excited about it.)
When we first got to the ceremony location, there were some college-aged spring breakers on a balcony listening to music. With minimal expectations, I ran over and asked them if they could turn down their music for like 15 minutes so it wouldn’t be in the background of Christine and Corey’s wedding video. They were so nice and immediately turned their music off. After the ceremony, I thanked them and let them know that they were good to turn it back on. Then a sweet young gentleman named Levi ran down and handed Corey a beer. He even ran down a second time with a bottle opener. Those unique moments are why I love when people hire a professional videographer to capture their wedding day. Christine and Corey had this amazing, fun wedding ceremony and they have it all on video, to help preserve those memories.
Jessica and Tim’s wedding ceremony was so fun! You could really feel all of the love and support from their families, who were literally cheering them down the aisle. Here’s a little preview of their wedding ceremony at Beasley Park, coordinated by Barefoot Weddings.
I am so thankful that I got to be a part of this year’s Lady Boss Market in Fort Walton Beach, showcasing and celebrating women owned and operated local businesses. You can check out the links (below video) to all of the amazing local businesses involved in the event.
If you were a part of the Lady Boss Market & you don’t see a link to your business, please drop a comment or send me an email & I’ll add you to the list!
If you live in the area, and you need a space for a party, ceremony, whatever, you’ve got to check out The Gulf. Normally, my biggest worry when filming indoor events is a dimly lit room full of half burnt out fluorescent lighting, but when Myra contacted me about filming her brother’s retirement ceremony and mentioned it was at The Gulf, I knew we were good to go. It’s a bright, big room, full of natural light and plenty of space for events like this.
I’m always honored when someone hires me to film their wedding or special event, but retirement ceremonies like Colonel Espinoza’s feel extra special. In just an hour, I was able to listen to all these amazing things he had done in his life and in his career. It’s a privilege filming events like these and I’m glad his sister reached out to me to capture the celebration of Colonel Espinoza’s retirement from the United States Air Force.
Here’s a little preview of a retirement ceremony I filmed a few days ago at The Gulf. That venue is SO perfect for events like this. It was intimate but not crowded and it was the perfect space to celebrate Colonel Espinoza’s retirement from the United States Air Force.
I love supporting locally owned businesses & our public schools. Hungry Howie’s Pizza & Subs in Niceville is a huge supporter of James E. Plew Elementary School, where my kiddos go to school. I have the privilege of being friends and neighbors with the owners and I was really excited to make a little video highlighting them as a Partner in Education.
I love baby gender reveals – I am definitely guilty of getting sucked into watching hours of youtube gender reveal videos. I don’t know why I get such a kick out of them – something about the excitement and the anticipation and the reactions – it’s all just priceless! So I was super pumped to film Brittney & Kyle’s baby gender reveal while they were down here in Destin on vacation. They had the results of their ultrasound sent to an amazing local photographer, Tabitha Corinne Photography, so she knew whether to light the pink or blue smoke bombs that they brought with them. It was so cute and I’m so happy I got to be there to capture the reveal.
