Destin Weddings

Morgan + Cody

Sometimes you plan a beautiful Destin beach ceremony, and then Mother Nature and the state of Florida have other plans. Morgan and Cody were supposed to get married at Henderson Beach State Park but a tropical storm closed all of the state parks so they moved their ceremony to The Henderson. When it comes to the weather, there is just nothing you can do about it and you have to go with the flow, and that’s exactly what Morgan and Cody and their friends and family did. They were all smiles and cheers and you never would’ve known this was Plan B. Their ceremony was beautiful (and dry!) and I’m glad I was there to capture it for them.

P.S. This is actually the 2nd time I’ve filmed a wedding that was derailed by weather and moved to The Henderson. First of all, this venue is beautiful. But beyond that, they are extremely accommodating and helpful for last minute bookings due to the weather. I highly recommend them if you are looking for an indoor space to host a wedding or event in the Destin area.

Katawana + James

I am so excited to finally be sharing James and Katawana’s highlights film! Katawana and James were one of the most considerate and thoughtful couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They made sure that their bridal party, guests, and wedding vendors were all taken care of on their wedding day. They’re such a fun, happy couple, and they and their guests were so easy to film. Confession: this highlights film was only supposed to be about 10 minutes long but they were all such great people and they were so much fun, so I WAY overshot their wedding day (not sorry!). They had a beautiful ceremony at Dune Allen Beach followed by a reception at Tops’l Beach and Racquet Resort. Forever I Do Weddings did an amazing job coordinating the days events, and On the Edge Entertainment, combined with James and Katawana’s awesome wedding guests, made the reception so much fun.

Amy + Jesse

Amy and Jesse had a perfect sunset ceremony at John Beasley Park in Fort Walton Beach, and there were so many gorgeous little details in their setup by Barefoot Weddings. Plus, their guest’s outfits all coordinated with their wedding color palette, and that is just the coolest thing ever. Amy was such a beautiful bride. Walking in sand, in a wedding dress, is no easy task and she glided effortlessly down the aisle. I also loved how her face lit up after they were announced husband and wife. Congrats to Amy and Jesse!

Ashley + Nick

I think my favorite part of Ashley and Nick’s ceremony was that I didn’t see Ashley until she was walking down the aisle so I had no idea she would be wearing a purple wedding dress. I wish I could’ve seen the excitement on my own face – I love when weddings are special and unique, and Ashley and Nick definitely had one of those ceremonies. They were all smiles (and laughs) the entire time and you could tell they’re truly happy together.

Tessa + Arthur

Tessa and Arthur had such a perfect wedding day. They got ready at a house in Miramar Beach (brace yourselves for 2 of the cutest flower girls you’ve ever seen!) and then got married and held their reception on the beach in 30A. Tessa and Arthur were so sweet to each other and to their daughters and families and friends. It’s always an honor to be hired to film someone’s wedding ceremony but it’s even better when it’s for wonderful people who truly deserve the best on their wedding day.
