Courtni and Joey had a beautiful sunset beach ceremony in Destin, Florida. Florida Weddings coordinated their special day and this film is part of a special videography package that can be reserved through them. You can contact them through their site: floridaweddings.com if you’re interested in reserving their services.
Talk about perfect timing! We got to Henderson Beach State Park to film Haley + Derek’s wedding ceremony about an hour and a half before it was supposed to start, and it was raining. It had been raining all afternoon and clouds were still rolling in. So, we sat in the pavilion and pouted, filmed some clouds and pouted, walked the boardwalk under an umbrella and pouted (you get the idea). Then, 15 minutes before the ceremony, it stopped raining. So, we headed down to the beach and 5 minutes later, the sun burst through the clouds, a rainbow appeared, and everything was beautiful! It ended up being SO gorgeous after being so dreary. It really was perfect timing!

Check out this trailer film from Samantha & Matt’s wedding day! I wish all weddings ended with a massive fireworks display, just sayin.
I really loved Samantha & Matt’s wedding day. What you don’t see in their films is the torrential downpour that chased my shooter & I, the DJ, and Sam’s poor grandma off the beach right before the ceremony was supposed to start. It was a little bit of chaos. I was worried we had lost our cameras to water damage, the DJ did lose a LOT of equipment in the rain, and we were all worried that the ceremony wasn’t going to happen. But, we waited it out, their amazing planner reset the ENTIRE beach ceremony and outdoor reception, and the DJ had new equipment delivered in time for the reception. While it was definitely a rough start, it was so great to see everyone come together to help each other so that Samantha & Matt’s wedding could happen. Plus it was kind of magical watching everyone dance in the rain at the end of the night.
Hey hey hey! So now that the new site is up and running, I wanted to add some of my favorite films to the blog. Christine + James’ gender reveal party is still one of my favorite events. After the party, I decided to surprise them with this little teaser film to share with friends and family.
It takes a village to raise a child. That’s what kept running through my mind during Christine & James’ gender reveal party. It started when I arrived and saw everyone pitching in to help set up. Everyone was so happy and excited and there was so much laughter and (happy) tears and hugs and kisses. It was such a great day and you can really tell that they have an amazing support system to help them raise their new baby boy or girl. I’ll let you watch the video to find out what they’re having!
I am SO pumped to be rebuilding the Emerald Coast Films site today!! If you happen to stumble across this mid-build and you can’t find info that you are looking for, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call at 850-888-2507 with any questions. Can’t wait to get this new site up and running!
